Eternity

The work invites the viewer to experience a sensory journey where the visual and the auditory intertwine to expand perception and foster a profound connection with the environment and with oneself. Using materials characteristic of her artistic language—mirrors, steel, projections, and geometric structures—Valdés transforms the exhibition space into a kind of internal, cosmic landscape.

Over the course of a ten-minute sequence, the viewer is enveloped by moving images that evoke the natural elements—water, fire, earth, sky—and their transitions. These scenes, accompanied by an immersive sound composition, create a constantly changing atmosphere, fostering a contemplative and transformative experience.

The artist describes her intention as follows: “Through these scenarios, I am interested in working and experimenting with the senses, primarily sight and hearing. I seek to create a dialogue, a state of connection and presence between your own being and the space.” “Eternity” is also a meditation on the cycles of life, the passage of time, and the bond between nature and humankind. The work positions the viewer as an active part of the environment, making their presence an essential component in activating the installation.

From a curatorial perspective , “Eternity” embodies the line of inquiry that Valdés has developed throughout his career: the exploration of perception, the refraction of light , the duality between the objective and the subjective , and the potential of art as a channel for self-knowledge and spiritual reflection . This work is presented as a space of emotional transition, a threshold toward contemplation and inner silence.
